BioShock 2 PC Widescreen Bug Fixed

As promised, 2K Games has released a patch that addresses a visual bug with the PC version of BioShock 2. Gamers were complaining that the game was altering the vertical field of view rather than the horizontal out of the box. The end result looked like a letterboxed version of the 4:3 aspect ratio, cropping the top and the bottom.

But as of Tuesday, that problem is no longer an issue. "You'll be able to download the patch starting at 2 AM PST on Tuesday, February 23rd," the company said here. "This patch is small because we focused on getting it out quickly to fix a couple high priority issues the community had, rather than roll them in to a larger patch that would take longer to reach you."

Outside fixing aspect ratio issue, the latest patch also fixes an issue where holding the M1 button would not register in Multiplayer gameplay. 2K Games said that it's working on a larger, "more extensive patch," with testing nearing finalization.

The latest patch will be released via Games for Windows.

it's amazing how both the first and sequel have the same issues
you would think they would watch out for it after messing up once

On the bright side, they patched this a lot faster than they did the first one.

Maybe they'll finally release a bug to make the mouse NOT feel like a bucket of butts...

    A FIX, that is...

Then again, a bug that fixes an issue would be great too.

    =)

Maybe I'll finally get the adaptor to use my third monitor for this game.
Maybe I'll also buy the game.
(Oh wait, I don't have enough money for both, and my next cheque is 9 days away...)

... maybe Bioshock 3 will not need such a cumulative patch and it will be ready for launch from the begining !

Not surprised, rush the PC port not properly tested and patch later. Then there is Microsucks Games for Winblows Live DRM that makes this game a no go. Need to have a GFWL account to save the game and forced updates, FU Microsuck GFWL.
Thank you Amazon.com customer review section.
