    The TV is cheap because it's a rear projection (i.e. awful), if all you're concerned about is having a big screen at a low price and for some bizarre reason you think having 3D is a good thing then I suppose it's OK. For everyone else it would make more sense to buy a 50" plasma of some sort (low end 720p ones are quite affordable now).

    malphas, comparing modern DLP TV's to old projection screen TV's is a joke. Most people who see a DLP say that the picture is better than an LCD, and very similar to a Plasma.

    DLP? umm no wonder its so cheap. People do you realize how expensive the lamps are in those suckers? For anyone that watches a decent amount of TV dont expect to get 3 years out of a lamp then its 400+ out of your pocket for another one.
