Motion Tracking Technology Demonstrated at IDF 2012

With the technological success that is Microsoft's Kinect, it's clear that there are many applications for motion tracking cameras outside of games. Microsoft has championed its Kinect technology, and Intel is validating that by showcasing something quite similar at the Intel Developer Forum 2012.

not so handy now, but will be neat in laptops when this type of tech can get integrated. This would be a good replacement to a true touch screen for those of us with older monitors, or people who have large monitors in general.

I wonder how this, kinnect PC (if they ever come out with a non-Dev version), and leap motion will all stack up against each-other.

I have to agree, Leap Motion looks better and is also really well priced. (Not sure what the pricing on Intel's version will be like though)
