Squeezing Value Out of Lower-End Cards
Unreal Tournament 2004
Many games are based on one of the Unreal Engines. For this reason, we feel it is necessary to keep UT2004 in the lineup in 2005. We use a custom time demo for UT2004, set up in assault mode on the Fallen City map. We do not use bots, and the graphics details are of course kept at the highest level.
Deviating from the set pattern, the overclocked 6600 takes the lead over the ATI cards in Unreal Tournament. However, with the features of 4x antialiasing and 8x anisotropic filtering enabled, the GTO / XL card shines with its 16 pixel pipelines. At the higher resolutions the traditional pattern returns, GTO / XL in first, 6600 in second and the X1300 Pro trailing the pack.
