Samsung, Sony agree to share patents

Samsung Electronics and Sony of Japan signed an agreement to share patents for digital technologies in major products, Samsung said.

"Samsung Electronics and Sony signed a cross-license agreement on December 14, detailing mutual usage of patent portfolios owned by the two companies," Samsung said in a statement.
