All tests were run on a special benchmark version of Halflife 2 provided by Valve. The three demos that were used for the benchmark runs comply with scenes from the demo Valve presented at E3. The result shown in the following table is an average of the average performance in all three demos.

To demonstrate the shader technology Valve is using in the game Halflife 2, they provided us with a new video that we offer for download. It demonstrates the use of High Dynamic Range effects, Soft Shadows and others. A benchmark run using this demo was not possible.
