Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 to Launch With 3 Models

Ahead of its imminent reveal at this year's MWC, Samsung's Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet will apparently be available in three models.

According to Bluetooth SIG, the South Korean technology company is planning to release the Galaxy Note 8.0 in WiFi only (GT-N5100), WiFi + 3G (GT-N5110) and WiFi + 3G + 4G (GT-N5105) varieties. All three models are expected to initially launch in Europe.

Speculation has suggested that the Galaxy Note 8.0 sports an 8-inch 1280 x 800 TFT LCD display, a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, Android Jelly Bean as its operating system, an S-Pen stylus, a rear 5-megapixel camera, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel snapper and a a 4,600 mAh battery. It'll apparently launch with 16 GB and 32 GB models.

Samsung is also set to announce a new range of Galaxy Tab 3 devices, with the 7-inch variant from the slate recently detailed in a benchmark. The Mobile World Congress takes place February 25 to February 28.

Why are they launching in Europe first, and why in the heck did they put an earpiece on this thing? Do they honestly expect someone to hold it up to their head like a phone? I'm sorry, but even picturing that is ridiculous.

anything less than 1080P will be a big fail, specially at this stage in competition.

Why? If you ran the thing at a pure 100% dpi 1920x1080 you'd go BLIND trying to read anything. If you increase the DPI then you might as well save costs and go with a lower res screen.

    Marketing... Don't fall for it!

Why settle for "good enough" when the competition easily offers better?

Don't fall for it!Smoother fonts with more pixels, but of the same physical size, are easier to read. But also, when needed, bringing the tablet closer to look better, like one of those 5 MP pictures it takes... the cost difference, in this stage of the competition, not worth it.

1080p and 64 or 128gb of flash memory with a Micro SD XC HC slot is an epic fail (if the product does not have these features) I guess it is still a waiting game.
