This Was Steve Ballmer Selling Windows 1.0

Last week we got to see the press release that Microsoft sent out announcing the availability of Windows 1.0.

Being able the multitask was a big new thing at the time, and Microsoft's press release sold that feature just like companies today boast about new functionality.

"Windows lets users integrate the tasks they perform with their computer by providing the ability to work with several programs at the same time and easily switch between them without having to quit and restart individual applications."

Press release wordage hasn't changed much, but we're not sure that you'd see the same sort of enthusiastic selling that you Steve Ballmer did back in 1985.

Then again, there's always hope for a revival with Windows 8.
