Google may have used its Google I/O developer conference to announce a version of the Galaxy S4 running stock Android, but the GS4 wasn't the only pure Android phone knocking around I/O. According to Android and Me, there was also a snow white Nexus 4 at the conference. Though Google didn't announce or even mention this device at I/O, word on the street is that it's launching next month.
Android and Me says the white Nexus 4 will hit the Play Store in just under four weeks from today. The specs are exactly the same, the hardware is no different to the black model many hardcore Android fans have been rocking for months. The one difference is that it will be in an all white casing, and running Android 4.3 (more on that here).
Google announced the Nexus 4 last October, alongside the Nexus 10 and the Nexus 7. The device represents Google's first collaboration with LG and packs a 4.7-inch 1280x768 IPS display (320 ppi), Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of storage, an 8-megapixel camera (1.3-megapixel camera up front), a 2,100mAh Li-Polymer battery, and NFC. It retails for $299 on the Google Play Store.
