Microsoft announced that Windows Insiders now have access to test the first round of extensions for the company’s Edge web browser. The extensions are available on Windows 10 build 14291, which was released to Fast Ring members yesterday. The company said the first iteration of extensions will have to be sideloaded manually, but eventually extensions will be part of the Windows store.
For the initial release, Microsoft has three different extensions to try out. You can install Microsoft Translator, which Microsoft said will automatically translate websites in 50 different languages, and there’s an extension that adds mouse gestures to the browser. The third app is the Reddit Enhancement Suite (RES). The company said other extensions will be released later this year, including ad blocking tools from AdBlock and Adblock Plus.
The latest build of Edge also includes a few minor feature updates, including the ability to use “Paste & Go” in the address bar, and the ability to pin individual tabs.
Windows insiders can find the available extensions here. If you’re not in the Windows Insider Fast Ring, you’ll have to wait a little while, though.
