As Black Friday ramps up, we're trying to find the best deals on PC hardware and components, notably RAM. The AI explosion is crunching hardware prices for PC enthusiasts and builders, with 64GB of DDR5 now costing as much as your average gaming console. We've found a few discounts on memory, but nothing much to write home about. But one very interesting avenue you could consider is the Black Friday PC component bundle.

A word of warning: not all bundles are created equal. We've seen at least one deal that pairs DDR5 RAM with a DDR4 motherboard (not included here, obviously), so double-check compatibility between parts yourself.

You can also see some of our other tips for navigating the shortages in our RAM pricing survival guide.

Of course, buying a bundle of any descript will reduce your flexibility a little when it comes to buying parts and putting your PC together. However, at a time when core components like RAM are spiralling in price, these bundles are some of the best ways to keep costs down.

Because there are bundle deals across a range of prices and chipsets, too, there's something for everyone. So, whether you want a new DDR5 offering to build around the latest AMD gaming CPU, something from Intel, or a tried-and-tested older AMD rig, pick through some of the bundles Newegg has to offer, and you might find a very pleasant surprise.

Once again newegg is offloading unsellable crap with stuff that is in ultra high demand. And someone at toms, getting a cut when you click the link, posts it as though its a deal. This used to be a good tech review magazine/site.

I seem to remember a time when they bundled a PSU with each purchase of a motherboard (or some such) regardless of whether or not you wanted anything they wanted to off load.
