PC builders and enthusiasts can't seem to catch a break as of late. With excruciating price rises from the insane AI push for datacenter rollouts, and now the Middle East conflict is having a knock-on effect to push tech component prices higher still. There's no end in sight for the continuation of astronomical price inflation. Still, we will do our best to hunt down deals and money-saving opportunities on computers and tech hardware, to help keep our PC enthusiast community thriving.
Spotted at Newegg are the perfect starting components for a crisp all-white PC build, and most importantly, an opportunity to pick up a large 64GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM and a top-spec 2TB Samsung 9100 Pro SSD for just $611, which is incredibly cheap considering current prices, where just 64GB of RAM can set you back $800 for the cheapest RAM kit with similar speeds and specs. The components featured in this combo are the perfect start to putting together an all-white PC build. Starting with Corsair's high-airflow Frame 5000D RS PC case, which has perforated mesh panels to let the cool air in to keep your components running at the correct operating temperatures. A highly adjustable InfiniRail mounting system lets you install an array of fan and radiator sizes for the perfect setup.
Gigabyte's X870 Auros Elite motherboard is icy white and features 16+2+2 power stages, an EZ-latch tool-less design for switching in and out M.2 SSDs and PCI components, and lots of heat-spreaders for the VRMs and M.2 drives. Plus, the WiFi 7 and 2.5GbE have you covered for fast connectivity for gaming or networking.
Samsung's 2TB 9100 Pro SSD is one of the fastest PCIe 5.0 SSDs on the market, with blistering read/write speeds of 14,700/13,400 MB/s, respectively, and random read/writes of 1,850K/2,600K, with a 1,200 TBW endurance rating. 2TB of capacity is a very good start for a gaming PC, with plenty of space for the operating system and a good selection of games.
The costliest component right now is, of course, the RAM. It's still strange to think that your computer's memory can cost more than a top-end graphics card, but that's the world we live in right now. This bundle includes a whopping 64GB of potent DDR5-6400 RAM. The Corsair Vengeance 64GB kit has a CAS latency of CL32 and timings of 40-40-84. More than enough for a few open browser tabs.
Do bear in mind that everything is expensive at the moment, and that a lot of the deals are relative to the current pricing climate of components, especially RAM and Storage. It's easy to say that "X" component was half the price two years ago, and that may be true, but that was a different time. Although everyone would love to see components return to those pricing levels, that's not going to happen for some time, unfortunately. Combo bundles are one of the best ways of offsetting some of these prices, and if the stars align and the specs match up to what you're looking for, then this is a good opportunity to jump in.
