Corsair Reveals New Mechanical Keyboards and Gaming Mice

Corsair has given its Vengeance and Raptor series of products a couple of new products, among which are two new versions of the Vengeance K70 and the announcement of the new Vengeance K65, Raptor K50, Raptor M40 and the Raptor M30.

First, Corsair has added two new versions of the Vengeance K70 keyboard to its product portfolio. While the K70 was previously only available with Cherry MX Red switches, Corsair has now answered the calling and revealed the keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches as well as Cherry MX Blue switches. The Cherry MX Red switches are linear switches, but they don't provide any feedback. Both the Cherry MX Brown and Blue switches provide haptic feedback with the keystrokes, though only the Cherry MX Blue keys provide auditory feedback. The Cherry MX Brown switches are known for being quieter.

Corsair has also announced the Vengeance K65 mechanical gaming keyboard. This keyboard is a simple mechanical keyboard that doesn't feature any G-keys or a numpad. This makes the keyboard a lot smaller. So far the keyboard has only been announced with Cherry MX Red switches. The K65 will feature a 1000 Hz polling rate, full key rollover, as well as a 100 percent anti-ghosted matrix. The keyboard's cable is detachable.

The Raptor K50 gaming keyboard is not a mechanical keyboard, but a rubber-dome keyboard. It also features 100 percent anti-ghosting and full-key rollover when used through USB. The keyboard has 18 programmable keys, each of which can be programmed to three functions, allowing for a total of 54 macros. The keyboard's backlighting is also full RGB, so users can choose from a total of 16.8 million colors.

The Raptor M30 and M40 mice both feature the Avago ADNS-3090 4000 DPI optical sensor. They both have a fast response time as well as large slippy pads. The M40 has a high-mass scroll wheel, a weight system, and a total of seven programmable buttons, including a DPI switcher. The Raptor M30 mouse has six buttons and also features a DPI switcher.

The Vengeance K70 with Cherry MX Red and Blue switches, as well as the Vengeance K65 and Raptor K50 will be available in July, and have MSRPs of $129.99, $89.99 and $99.99, respectively. The Raptor M40 will cost $59.99, while the Raptor M30 will cost $49.99. Both will be available in June.

    Not bad. Would really love if more companies made more mechanical keyboards that have the arrow keys smooshed below the right shift key. Even if the arrow keys had to be rubber dome and smaller then the rest. I know they are out there, but I have to end up importing them from China or they have switches I don't like....

    You should take a look at the Noppo Choc Mini 84 (I'm assuming you want the arrow keys below the shift key because you want a smaller keyboard).     Yeah I have see those actually. Did not like the way they keycaps look though (the side thing with the number pad and the menu keys), I could always by a new keyset sure, but just want to see more variety in general with 83/84 key keyboards, mechanical or not. Thanks for the link though!

    I don't understand how manufacturers justify $100 pricetag on rubber dome 'gaming' keyboards...
    Sadly people buying them aren't educated and/or aware of existence of Cherry MX (red in particular) $70 boards that are multiple times better

    corsair k95 and m95 released at ces 2013 feb are not yet available in india. before making so many models corsair make sure that they reach to customer in 6months LOL.

    I don't see the point of the Raptor K50 keyboard. Why would I buy it over the Logitech G510s (successor to the G15)? It's got all the "programmable keys" jammed together, too.
    They seem to think MMOG gamers don't want a fully mechanical keyboard. They made the K90 mechanical - except the dang 18 keys on the side aren't mechanical? What's up with that?

    ETA - actually they DO make a fully mechanical now with the 18 extra keys also mechanical, the K95. Way to go Corsair!

    I just purchased the K70, and this thing is amazing. I highly dislike cherry MX brown and blue though. There's a good reason red was the only offering they had, and I would not purchase a brown or blue just to get a "newer version" This thing looks sleek as heck, with the brushed aluminum, the LED's are much brighter than my previous keyboard (siatek 2).
