NZXT Launches the Phantom - Pink Edition Case

NZXT has geared their new Phantom Big-Tower - Pink Edition toward the female gamer base with an all pink theme. The color scheme is throughout the case with the external and internal matching the same high-end finish. Besides the pink color option, NZXT also offers a white, black, red, and red/white variant with more special editions in the works.

The NZXT comes equipped with one front USB 3.0, USB 2.0, eSATA and Audio connectors. In addition, the case has a five channel fan controller with 20W load capacity on each circuit. It has support for E-ATX motherboards and high-end graphics cards like the Nvidia's GTX 590 and AMD's Radeon HD 6990. If more room is required, the bottom hard drive rack can be removed to provide addition space for those longer graphics cards or large bottom mounted power supplies.

The case offers dust filters on all intake areas to help the interior stays clean and presentable to go along with the excellent cable management options. For drive bays, the case comes with five 5.25-inch external and seven 3.5-inch internal drive bays. To make the assembly process easy, NZXT has employed thumb screws and tool-less locking mechanism throughout the entire case.

In terms of cooling, the case utilizes two 120 mm fans installed in the side panel, one 120 mm fan in the rear of the case, along with a large and quiet 200 mm unit in the ceiling to create the cooling performance. If additional cooling is required, an additional 140 mm fan can be added to the front of the case, along with a 200 mm fan to the lid. The side panel fans can be switched out for either a 230 mm or 200 mm fan. For those interested in water cooling, the case has the ability to install a 240 mm radiator in the ceiling, with four openings in the back of the case for tube routing.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I love the white Phantom, black isn't bad, red is meh, but pink... just... wrong! NZXT Phantom is my favorite case - why did they have to make a silly version of it? :D

I prefer black cases. If they really want to target female gamers then they should put female soldiers in FPS games. I really dislike having a guy character.
