Microsoft is about to unveil the first commercial Surface PCs, tables with integrated touch screen LCDs and a capability to interact with wireless electronics. You will have to go to AT&T stores to see how Surface works in a retail environment.
According to Microsoft, select AT&T stores in New York City, Atlanta, San Antonio and San Francisco will be introducing Surface PCs beginning on April 17. The table-like 30" screen devices will allow customers to place individual or multiple cellphones on the screen to compare features. People will also be able to see coverage areas on interactive maps. Surface's capabilities are planned to be expanded, so that phone users can simply drag and drop ring tones, graphics and video onto their phone, Microsoft said.
