Looking for something small and rugged to run your favorite Windows apps? Look no further than Stealth Computer's new LPC-630F, a high performance fanless small form computer packed with a third generation Core i7 mobile processor. There are also no cooling fans, making it ideal in the home office, studio or business environments.
According to the company, its line of fanless computers feature a rugged extruded aluminum chassis performing as a heat sink. The overall size is rather compact, measuring 7.9 x 7.9 x 2.56 inches, a great solution for "space challenged" scenarios.
Why go fanless? For one, there's no noise. Customers also aren't required to babysit intake and exhaust fans, which can lead to dead components when not maintained. There's also less power consumption, meaning more money in your pocket at the end of the day.
The specs show that this new compact PC has an Intel Core i7-3520M processor, Intel HD 4000 graphics, 4 GB of DDR3 memory (8 GB, 16 GB are options), and 128 GB of SSD-based storage (up to 512 GB). There are also two empty mini-PCIe expansion options: one that's full-sized and one that's half-sized.
The new mini-PC also provides two USB 2.0 ports on the front. Two additional USB 2.0 ports are provided on the back as well as two USB 3.0 ports, two DisplayPort jacks, a DVI-I video port, an e-SATA port, audio output and more. For customers who choose the optional Wireless N networking card, the antenna will also appear on the rear panel.
"Systems are compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, XP, Embedded and Linux and can be custom configured to meet the exact needs of the OEM or end user," reads the company's announcement.
