With support for Microsoft DirectX 9.0c, NVIDIA's GeForce 6800 Series is the most advanced graphics card on the market right now. The GT version - currently the second-fastest model in the series - is equipped with 16 pixel pipelines and 6 vertex pipelines.
The clock speed of the Gigabyte GV-N68T256DH corresponds to the vendor's specifications, i.e. 350 MHz chip speed and 500 MHz memory speed ("1000 MHz" DDR). The 256 MB of memory is typical for a card in this category, as the performance is good enough to play most games at resolutions up to 1600x1200 with 4x FSAA and 8x. Cards with only 128 MB run out of memory at this point.
