To set its 3D1 apart from standard GeForce 6600 GT SLI solutions, Gigabyte has raised the 3D1's memory frequency from 1000 MHz to 1120 MHz. The core speed, on the other hand, remains unchanged at 500 MHz. Although the final price for the 3D1 bundle (including the motherboard) has not yet been decided, it is expected to be around 20% cheaper than a single 6800 GT, 28-30% cheaper than a GeForce 6800 Ultra and around 10% cheaper than two GeForce 6600 GT cards.
The cooler covers both graphics processors. The fan on the left is responsible for drawing in cool air, while the one on the left expels the warm air from the cooler.
To satisfy its power requirements, the 3D1 features an auxiliary power connector.
Here we can clearly see how the contacts of the PCIe connector are assigned to the individual graphics processors - 8 PCIe lanes for each core.
