Four Unique ATX Cases Compared

Suffering For Art's Sake: The Luxor Pyramid

Buddha believed that all life is suffering. Applying that theology to the concept of art mimicking life, true artistic vision might require a bit of sacrifice. Welcome to the first case in this comparison that completely throws convention out the window in the name of artistic expression.

External Design

Similar in shape to the namesake Las Vegas casino, the Luxor Pyramid from SilverPCs.com also features a lens on top that shoots a bright beam of light to the ceiling when desired, a feature that can be disabled with the flick of a switch.

A fold-down door covers the light switch, system power, and reset buttons, in addition to two 5.25" and one 3.5" form factor external bays.

A smaller door near the bottom opens more easily to reveal line in, microphone and headphone jacks, as well as two USB, and one IEEE-1394 FireWire connection.

The rear panel looks even more monolithic than the front or sides; it is designed to conceal connectors as motherboard and power supply cables exit from beneath the panel's lower edge.
