F.E.A.R. 3 Details Leaked
A recent casting call in Los Angeles reveals that Monolith is currently working on F.E.A.R. 3.
Looks as though the third installment to the F.E.A.R. series is in the works, with an official viral video promo slated hit the Internet soon. Details from a recent LA casting call--which took place on January 14 and 15--reveal that the web promo will be directed by Marcus Nispel, the man behind the recent remakes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th. VG247 reports that this advert will also reveal "significant" plot and character details.
According to the data sheet supplied to the applicants, Paxton Fettel will be returning to this third installment. The description calls for a "malevolent genius with a diabolical sense of humor." Although he's strong and powerfully built (aka "meaty"), his features are "twisted" by the dark psychic power he commands. Although it appears that he may make a major comeback, Fettel will be narrating the promo.
Also included in the promo will be Fettel's mother, Alma. She's apparently given birth to a third child although the sheet doesn't reveal its age or gender. It also specifies that she'll be consumed with revenge, leading us to believe something may have happened to that third child. Alma's eldest son, Point Man, also plays a role in the video, turning his allegiance to his new-found mother.
Although Monolith and Warner Bros. have not officially announced the game, F.E.A.R. 3 was rumored to be slated for 2010. Monolith was discovered to be hiring for a new project last June, however the developer has yet to reveal it's details. Based on the recent casting call, it's safe to assume the developer is hammering out the new installment.

wow, FEAR 3 tha should be more than a bus load!
May the game begin.
Ah the many memories of playing other F.E.A.R. titles alone in the dark with noise-isolating headphones...

...and the lack of sleep...
...and the horrible nightmares...
I am SO ready for this.
FEAR 1 was good. The (expansions?) were OK. But FEAR 2? There are only so many times you can re-incarnate the same vanquished foes before it just gets boring. After #2, it is definitely time to move on.
who gets to keep the child alma or beckett.
only YOU can decide.
"F.E.A.R 3 custody battle".
lol, the battleground would be the court or the playground
Wow. I wasn't able to play the original FEAR on higher than the lowest settings. I have the same computer still... I need to upgrade...
Humm well that just spoiled the entire plot right there. Knock another game of my list of "To Plays".
Awww...."sense of humor"... batman's joker ripoff?
(((((((
Awww.... point man going to dark side?? I liked the point man
awwwwww
"to reveal it's details"? Wow, does nobody here at TH US know the difference between "it's" and "its"? That's the second time in two days from two different writers... Maybe it's (not its) time to look for replacements?
I cannot imagine a game shown on a monitor screen as being scary. It's all fantasy.
NO FEAR!

You've obviously never played the original F.E.A.R.
I personally didn't like F.E.A.R. 2, but the first one was totally awesome, and I never had nightmares but definately scurried away from the computer rather quickly after playing lol.

@Johnny
You have to see it for yourself, I swear you'll probably shart a couple of times within the hour of playing it.
@Boon
I did play the first one, well most of it at least at a friend's house. Never did play the 2nd one, though I guess by the looks of it still some scary shit and I guess it pushes the story line a bit. Though do any of the expansions further the storyline or they're just for Multiplayer stuff?
The SloMo effects of F.E.A.R 2 were awesome! I wonder what they will be like in F.E.A.R 3...
Awesome news. I liked all the Fear games, including the "Files" and the "Reborn" levels. If this gets released on the PC they'll at least sell one copy ^_^
I think I have a morbid since of humor I was rolling on the floor laughing in F.E.A.R 2....I mean come on a puddle of red goo with an eye on it.
Doom was scary... for the first 15 minutes, then it's "oh that monster again, ok."
Same goes to Dead space.
Same goes to FEAR.
If I play this game, I want a Lightsaber to go with my supernatural powers.
The Dark Side of the Force is strong with this game.
I for one cant wait till fear 3 comes out, but i would love to see some dedi server files made for Fear 3 as Fear 2 SUCKED for MP. bring back iron sights normal CTF and maybe lean i would be in heaven
FEAR was the bomb..that game raped and was awesome..FEAR 2 sucked balls cause there was no dedi servers and anytime i went to play there was no one on...most of us original FEAR players played for a week and left FEAR 2 cause well it blew. Give us some dedi servers and back to the original gameplay with awesome upgrades and you got a huge community again!!
