Ravage Transformer is Best USB Stick Ever

Next news
3:11 PM - May 20, 2009 by Marcus Yam

Makes me feel young again.

Those who remember the classic first generation of Transformers will know that Ravage the Decepticon transformed into a cassette tape.

These days we no longer store our audio recording on analog tape, but rather in digital data. The Ravage of today would transform into another small-portable media form such as a USB stick. And here we have it:

At only 2 GB and $43, it’s definitely not cheap (and not shipping until September). But die-hard Transformer fans and collectors have probably already decided that they must have it.

Hopefully we'll get to see a USB Laserbeak next.

Where is my Isolinear Chip USB device? My Communicator cell phone? Where is my Wi-Fi Tricorder?
I will add it to my friends 'Romulan Ale' stash...

Wow! this is an awesome idea, too bad its so expensive for 2 gig. I would be willing to pay an extra $5 - $10 for a tranformers USB, but not an extra $35...

Could have made a bigger capacity 4GB min or even better 8GB for $35 would be fair for something like this.

quite simply - b@d @$$! =)

definitely should be bigger than 2GB though - they could sell these like hot cakes! btw - what's Soundwave gonna be now then? (a portable storage drive? or do they have boom boxes that can play audio from USB drives now?)

yes, I'm ignoring the movie version.

For $43, I AM EXPECTING it to transform by itself.

Considering that normal Transformer toys are about $4~20, depending on size / parts / complexity. This USB stick should be $25 at most.
