GoodiPhone reports that a group of developers have managed to install and run Windows 95 on the iPhone. With the help of a Bochs emulator and an original Windows 95 image, they managed to get the Microsoft OS running on Apple's iPhone. Unfortunately, it seems performance was an issue so they're eager to try the same test on an iPhone 3GS.
The developers also tried to get Windows XP running. Check out the video and screenshots below.

And for old time's sake, here's the Weezer video for "Buddy Holly", which came bundled with Windows 95.

I hate to be this guy, but thats not an iPhone, thats a MacBook running some kind of iPhone simulation.
Ill be impressed when I see it on a real iPhone. Until then, this is pure BS.
Actually watch the video. He does have a unit running it.
Win 95 or better even 98Se is a perfect windows OS systems for Ultra mobile devices and mids. They have the processor and RAM requirements needed to run these OS'es.
Too bad they are no longer supported by MS.
Perhaps because Win95 is running as an app (or is softwarematic simulated) on the IPhone. I believe Win95 needed something like 300-400MB diskspace, 32MB Ram, a vesa compatible video card (you could also run it in monochrome), and a 386 processor to run.

So, running Windows on a phone isn't exactly news.
Apple i don't imagine would be to happy about win 7 running on their iphone
That's because the n95 was a much better phone released earlier and for less money. However, nokia's marketing team has their heads shoved up their own asses and couldn't get it out there into public eye.
At current its useless since its soooo slow.
I expect & hope all this will change within 2 years. There will be a Windows Mobile 7 using the same kernel as Windows 7. There will also be a mobile version of the Atom. So the two should come together. No emulation needed.
I personally hate the Atom, but an Atom in a phone sounds interesting.
