Mobo makers voice concerns about southbridge supply after ATI's Crossfire 3200 launch

With ATI set to roll out its PCI Express (PCIe) CrossFire Xpress 3200 (RD580) chipset for high-end AMD solutions, motherboard makers are expressing concern about a potential southbridge supply shortage, as ATI partner Uli Electronics (ULi) was recently acquired by Nvidia. The new CrossFire Xpress 3200 will support AMD's socket 939 K8 CPU and is generally considered ATI's answer to Nvidia's nForce4 SLI chipset.
