Round Rock (TX) - Dell has wasted no time selling Microsoft's newest operating system and has been including Vista on most computer orders since Saturday. Windows Home Premium is now the standard option on most of the desktops and laptops with an update to Windows Vista Business edition costing from $100 to $200 more.

The choice in Vista operating systems appears in the customization screens on Dell's order page. The default selection is Windows Home Premium with 1 GB of RAM for free, while Vista Business costs either $99 or $199 more depending on what computer you select. Windows XP is no longer being offered as an operating system option.

Dell CEO Kevin Rollins says that Vista demand has been "even stronger than expected". Rollins will also be attending the official New York launch event tonight.
