Fujitsu's DynaMo 1300 drive receives data encryption tech

Fujitsu announced that its DynaMO 1300 Pocket Magneto-Optical (MO) drive now comes with password-protected data storage and the ability to encrypt stored data. The entry-level drive with "SecureMO Folder file encryption software" will be on display at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show.
According to Fujitsu, the 1.3 GByte removable storage drive is backwards compatible with lower capacity 640 MByte, 540 MByte,
230 MByte, and 128 MByte 3.5" MO disks. The DynaMO 1300 is available for $200, 1.3 GByte media are priced at around $50 in packages with five cartridges. The company also offers a 2.3 GByte version of the drive for $300. (THG)
