Spansion starts sampling 1 Gbit NOR flash memory
Next newsOn the heels of announcing the launch of a 1 Gbit NOR flash device based on its 90 nm MirrorBit process technology, Spansion has now stated it is sampling the high-density NOR flash to select customers and volume production is expected to commence by the end of this year, according to the company.
This1Gb NOR flash chip is designed for code execution and data storage in a wide range of embedded applications including automotive navigation systems, communications infrastructure equipment, gaming and industrial control, Spansion noted.
