TFT LCD panels to become mainstream in handset displays this year
Next newsTFT LCD panel shipments (including a-TFT and LTPS) are expected to outpace STN panel shipments (including Color STN and Mono STN) in the handset main display market this year, with the TFT segment accounting for 55.1% of the handset main display panel market, according to Taiwan's Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center (IEK).
Last year, TFT LCD applications accounted for 47.2% of the handset main display panel market, IEK noted.
