When running Half-Life 2, as with Doom 3, graphics cards are starved for information from the system and CPU. All of the cards can play Half-Life 2 and all of its variants like Counter-Strike Source and Episode 1 at 1600x1200 with 4x antialiasing, 8x anisotropic filtering, and HDR enabled. Sadly, the Quad GeForce 7950GX2 cards do worse than the previous versions of Quad-SLI with GeForce 7900GX2 cards, and far worse than a single Radeon X1900XTX. Regardless of the image quality level, the single GeForce 7900GTX beats it at most resolutions, except 2048x1536 and 2560x1600 with antialiasing and anisotropic filtering enabled.
