1.8" Hard Drives: Small is Beautiful

Data Transfer Performance

With a transfer speed of around 25 MB/s, the Toshiba 1.8" drives are fast for their category, but they are far from the performance levels of a quick 2.5" hard drive. You will notice this difference as soon as large amounts of data have to be read from or written to the drive. Think of the Windows boot process, launching an application, a refresh of game level data or unpacking files; you will notice the hard drive delay as long as the processor is not the bottleneck.
