Apple UK Gets Specialists Online to Answer Your Questions
Apple has launched a new service for European customers that will allow them to talk to an Apple representative about their purchase.
The Apple store was down for UK users this morning, and when it returned it was packing a brand new feature for some European shoppers. The website now allows customers from the United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain. In addition to these three, shoppers in Brazil will also get access to this new service that allows you to converse with an Apple Specialist while you shop for an iPad or iPhone.
Customers using the new service will be able to talk to a Specialist over the phone, start a live online chat, and watch the Specialist's screen during personalized tours.
"In addition to customers already being able to chat, request a call with a specialist and experience a guided tour of the store, now customers can schedule an online session to set up their iPhone or iPad device," the company told MacWorld. "When you have a new product, Specialists are on hand to help you get set up, configure your email, stay in sync with iCloud and more.
No word on if or when Apple plans to launch a similar service in the United States or elsewhere in the world.
