Asus Announces the PA249Q ProArt Series LCD Monitor
The Asus PA249Q offers a 24” LED backlit AH-IPS display with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200.
Asus’ PA249Q ProArt monitor is a professional 24-inch monitor that provides an LED backlit AH-IPS (Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching) display with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200, 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, a brightness rated at 350 cd/m2 and Asus’ Smart Contrast Ratio technology that offers a maximum contrast ratio of 80,000,000:1.
The display is also advertised as being “pre-calibrated at the factory for unmatched color accuracy.” It features independent six-axis color control with 10-bit “deep color,” and compliance with 99 percent Adobe Wide Gamut RGB, 100 percent sRGB and 120 percent NTSC.
The PA249Q includes DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D and D-Sub ports. It is capable of displaying content from two video inputs simultaneously in either a Picture-in-Picture or Picture-by-Picture mode. Last but not least, the monitor features an inbuilt four-port USB 3.0 hub for “convenient pass-through connectivity” and is mounted on a versatile stand with full tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment.
