AMD expands embedded processor lineup
AMD has added its Turion 64 X2 TL-52 and Mobile Sempron 3500+ processors to its AMD64 Longevity Program for embedded solutions, a scheme which gives embedded solution providers assurance that processors will be available for five years, bringing the company's embedded processor total to 12. The Turion 64 X2 follows the growing trend for dual-core processors in the Industrial PC (IPC) sector, while the Sempron model will target entry- and mid-level markets, according to market sources.
