Make miniature models for a miniature price
One of our favorite topics at Tom's Hardware is 3D printers and making, often combining the two to report on some fun creations. It could just be a new case for your Pi, or hooks for your headphones, but with 3D Resin printing you can also make detailed little miniatures to paint or display as you see fit, with your imagination being the only boundary for your creations.
Thanks to a generous sale price and included coupon offering at Amazon, you can pick up Anycubic's Photon Mono 2 for just $152, a superb price for a quality 3D printer, especially if you're new to 3D printing and want to get into the hobby.
If you'd like a little more information on the Anycubic Photon Mono 2 then take a look at our review of the Photon Mono 2. We awarded this budget-friendly printer an Editor's Choice for its price, fast setup, easy-to-use menu navigation, and excellent 4K print quality. Some of the negatives we found with this printer included the slightly slippery feet on the base and the lightweight and "cheap" feel of the product, although this had no impact on the printer's performance.
Anycubic Photon Mono 2: now $152 at Amazon with coupon (was $269)
The Anycubic Photon Mono 2 is a 3D Resin printer that is ideal for beginners to resin printing. With a small footprint that doesn't take up much space, and a 6.6-inch monochrome LCD screen with a resolution of 4096 x 2560. With a build volume of 165x143x89mm the Photon Mono 2 is slightly bigger than its predecessor.
Replacing the Photon Mono 4K, Anycubic’s newest Photon Mono 2 was made specifically with first-time resin users in mind. The printer comes with a 6.6-inch monochrome LCD screen with a resolution of 4096 x 2560 and 165 x 143 x 89mm build volume but with a smaller-sized resin vat and device footprint that requires minimal space.
Other new and improved features of the Photon Mono 2 include a laser-etched build plate that helps prints to stick, and an extra-large screen protector for the LED glass - helping to keep everything protected and clean.
The quality of 4K prints is excellent with super crisp details, with exposure times similar to other top-of-the-line printers. If your focus is on miniatures and small models this printer is an ideal solution for your creative needs, especially at this reduced price.
