2TB Samsung 9100 Pro SSD and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM is just $363 in this staggering Newegg 9850X3D bundle — $558 off this $1,200 AM5 haul includes an X870E motherboard and a cooler
That's a total saving of $558 on all of these parts combined, but of course, RAM and SSD prices are inflated, so just how good is this deal really? If you subtract the $458 CPU, $309 motherboard, and $85 CPU cooler from this bundle, you're left paying just $363 for the 2TB SSD and 32GB of RAM. That's less than the list price of both the SSD and RAM alone, both of which are priced at $459 and $469, respectively. The going rate of 32GB of DDR5 RAM is currently $360, and you'll also struggle to find a 2TB SSD for much less. While not quite pre-AI crunch pricing, $363 for both is pretty astonishing.
Get a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro motherboard, 240mm MSI AIO liquid cooler, Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB SSD, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6400 for just $1,215 after the $10 rebate.
The headline of this build is AMD's potent Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU. As you can see from our latest benchmarks, it is one of the fastest gaming CPUs on the market, beaten only by the decidedly more expensive 9950X3D. With 8 cores and 16 threads, 5.6GHz max boost clock, and AMD's leading 3D V-cache technology, this will chew through any game on the market. Paired with the right GPU, it's going to unlock 4K performance across pretty much any title.
The X870 Aorus Pro from Gigabyte comes with everything you'd need in an AM5 motherboard, with support for up to four DDR5 DIMMs, 16+2+2 power staging, Wi-Fi 7, a plethora of USB-C and A ports, and, of course, PCI 5.0 support for that Samsung SSD, so you can unlock all the power and speed of the Gen 5 storage. The Aorus also has some DIY-friendly add-ons, such as EZ-Latch tech for the M.2 and PCIe slots, making building your rig that little bit easier.
The CPU is kept cool by an MSI Mag Coreliquid A13 240mm, which will keep your temperatures under control and even unlock some overclocking headroom should you wish to push the boat out on the 9850X3D.
Samsung's 9100 Pro 2TB SSD boasts eye-watering read speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s, making it one of the fastest SSDs on the market today. 2TB of storage should be plenty for a library of big titles, and hopefully you won't need to upgrade your storage for a little while, giving time for prices to settle down a bit.
RAM comes in the form of 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6400, a household name when it comes to memory. With 36-48-48-104 timings and RGB lighting, this is plenty for gaming and makes this bundle an absolute steal. If you want to save even more, this bundle comes with V-Color Manta XSky DDR5 RAM. The specs are identical, as are the other components, but the price is ever so slightly lower, offering the same bundle for just $1,194.
