Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Tablet Outed

Details have emerged about a device from Huawei titled the MediaPad 10 Link, a purported 10-inch tablet.

Notebook Italia managed to obtain both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 certification documents for a slate by the aforementioned name, inevitably hinting at a 10-inch tablet for Huawei that will be powered by Google's Android platform.

According to the model numbers showcased in the documents, three variants of the Link are being prepared. Model numbers S10-201w, S10-201u and S10-202u are all mentioned, with each differentiating from each other possibly due to Wi-Fi only models and ones supported on data networks.

The Link will also utilize dual band 2.4/5.x GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. A 10-inch IPS LCD screen with HD resolution is rumored for the device, with the Bluetooth certification offering a first -- albeit blurry -- look into the MediaPad 10 Link, as seen above.

Although the document didn't mention the operating system for the tablet, Notebook Italia suggests the MediaPad 10 Link will run on Jelly Bean. The Link's predecessor, the MediaPad 10 FHD, runs the previous Android version in the form of Ice Cream Sandwich.

cheap android tablets are a dime a dozen... no pun intended :D

Show me a cheap android tablet that can decode X264, Xvid, Mkv and other "scene" releases NATIVELY... then we will talk =)

In my opinion that is still the number one shortcoming of tablets... the fact that I have to either re-encode my pirated movies and TV shows (I am not paying $20 a movie... sorry RIAA and MPAA) or have to run them in a low resolution so that the tablet can decode them with a software decoder.
