  • Uhm Ive been gaming and general use on a 30 inch 2560 x 1600 for over 2 years now and it can't be beat. Worth the money if you have it. 1080 displays just don't cut it.

If you arent doing color intensive work there is no need for such an expensive monitor.

I have the $1,300+ to spend on a Dell (or HP) 30" 2560x1600 monitor for gaming. But I chose instead to get a Samsung 27" 2560x1440 and save about $700 for a future GPU upgrade or something. As one who came from a Samsung 25.5" 1920x1200 (16:10 ratio) monitor, I do not miss the fewer 16:9 vertical resolution lines when moving to the bigger monitor. Further, 30" is just too big for someone like me who games at a desk just 20" or so away from the monitor.
