Via today said that it will begin offering the CN700 integrated graphics chipset (IGC) for the C7 processor series during the first quarter of next year.
Supporting Via's V4 bus up to 533 MHz, the chipset will be positioned as the firm's high-end integrated graphics solution tailored to a use with digital media applications. According to Via, the CN700 will be able to run 1080p resolution, which translations into 1920 by 1080 pixels at 60 complete frames per second (as compared to 60 interlaced frames in 1080i).
There was no information the pricing of the CN700.
