Talk Like Pirate Day: Monkey Island Sale

Avast! Ye scurvy dogs! Tomorrow, September 19 is Talk Like a Pirate Day, which means you need to be talking like a pirate.

Besides just wagging your chins like a pirate, you could also spend the day playing pirate games. No, no, we're not suggesting any illegal activity, ye landlubber. We're talking about Monkey Island.

On Talk Like a Pirate Day, the first episode of Tales of Monkey Island will be unlockable for free by getting a code here. It starts midnight GMT.

If you're interested in more old school gaming, then the Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition is on sale both on Steam and Direct2Drive for $5. The iPhone port is also now half price at $4. The sale is only on until Monday though, so don't waste any time ye scallywags!

That's OK. I never get into RPG as well.

    However, I must ask:
When will we have Monkey Island 2 remake?

I'm not a big fan of the cartoonish style they adapted after Monkey Island 2 and the special edition is not really a step in the right direction.

If you look at the covers of the first two games you'll see that they might as well have been a cover for Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Caribbean. It's sad that they didn't keep going with this...
