The most efficient 5,400 RPM 2.5" hard drives require 0.5 W in idle and only 2.2 W when active. The HM16HJI requires 0.7 W of idle power, which is close to the 0.8 W of its conventional brother HM160JI. But its activity power of 3.1 W is clearly above the 2.6 W maximum activity power requirement of the non-Flash hard drive.
