For a limited time, purchase any BFG Geforce GTX 200 series graphics card and receive a free full copy of Far Cry 2, a free full copy of 3DMark Vantage Advanced Edition and a BFG branded mini super bright LED torch.
For many consumers, the choice between which new graphics card to purchase often comes down to a few factors; price, performance and the list of software that comes bundled. Sometimes the included software is comprised of unheard of racing car simulation demos or DVD playback software. Other times the included software can actually be pretty good; such is the case when you purchase any new BFG GTX 200 series of graphics card.
With the purchase of any BFG Geforce GTX 200 series of graphics cards from October 22, 2008 and onwards, BFG will ship to the customer a pretty decent software bundle. Included is a free full copy of Far Cry 2 (DVD), a free full copy of 3DMark Vantage Advanced Edition (online download) and a BFG branded mini super bright LED torch light. The total value of this bundle is claimed to be over $70. The graphics card needs to be registered online before the bundle will be shipped and the offer is only available for a limited time and while supplies last. Official details can be found here.
Newegg.com has the BFG Geforce GTX 260 starting at $259.99, after a $30 mail-in rebate, and the BFG Geforce GTX 280 starting at $374.99, after a $30 mail-in rebate. According to the Tom’s Hardware Gaming Graphics Charts Q3/2008, both the Geforce GTX 280 and the Geforce GTX 260 series of graphics cards offered top overall performance. If you were hoping to play Far Cry 2, but were still using an old Geforce 6600 GT, right now may be a great time to upgrade. Far Cry 2 is a first-person shooter, offering visually stunning next-generation graphics and a massive open world for players to explore.

It won't fit into my Antec Solo/P150 case. I don't know why they can't trim 0.5 inch off the card.
I shopped around and this is a very good price, but still not in my price range
It won't fit into my Antec Solo/P150 case. I don't know why they can't trim 0.5 inch off the card.
Because they're not ATI.
Obviously Nvidia doesn't care for short cards-but ATI does.
Since one of those won't fit,why wouldn't you just get an Palit,HIS,or Asus ATI card?

Correction:
Newegg.com has the BFG Geforce GTX 260 for $289.99, with $30 mail-in rebate, and the BFG Geforce GTX 280 for $404.99, with $30 mail-in rebate.
That sounds A LOT less misleading....

I hear ya. I have the same case (wornderful case BTW) and had to grab a dremmel and cut the case to make it fit.
"Newegg.com the BFG Geforce GTX 260 starting at $259.99, after a $30 mail-in rebate"
doesn't sound so misleading if you read it 4 times -_-
but yeah im really glad these prices are coming down... not like i'll buy one, already got myhands on a 4850, couldn't wait any longer
This isn't news. This is an ad

Well if you were just a little bit more proactive you would have found this product on Newegg.com for $259.99 after rebate.

I would be inclined to take advantage of this deal if Far Cry 2 didn't ship with SecuROM. As much as I want to play Ubisoft's fine creation, I don't want my computer to be raped by Ubisoft with their giant SecuROM gayness.

At is absolutely no better! My 4870 still collides with my harddrives because they were too dumb to put the pcie power jacks in the same orientation as my old 8800gtx. The gtx had the power plugs face upwards, whereas the ati card extends the cards length by forcing you to apply power from the end of the card.

I have to agree here sadly. While I bought the original crysis dvd, I never actually used it, cause the version on dc++ came without drm.
"GTX200 bundled with Far Cry 2". Wanted a GTX200 for a little while. If it's bundled with Far Cry 2, I might buy the game.
:-D
(FTR: should be "Far Cry 2 bundled WITH xyz". Thanks.)
EVGA and canadacomputers had the same deal for a while, with vantage also.
Just thought I would let you guys know since eVGA has been so nice to me.
Still waiting for my copy of Far Cry2...maybe I'll get by the time Far Cry 4 is out.
