AMD Releases Battlefield 3-Ready Beta Radeon Drivers
AMD's new Catalyst 11.10 Preview driver is optimized for the Battlefield 3 Open Beta for Radeon HD 6000 and Radeon HD 5000 Series GPUs.
As promised early Monday, AMD has released a "preview" driver with improved performance for the just-launched Battlefield 3 Open Beta. The news arrives after Nvidia released its new GeForce 285.38 beta drivers which promise up to 38-percent better performance in the Battlefield 3 Open Beta compared to the previously-released 285.27 drivers.
Although AMD didn't specify percentages in reference to improved performance, users should see better results for both non-Anti-Aliasing and application-enabled Anti-Aliasing cases on the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series for single GPU and CrossFire configurations.
Monday the company also said that the new Catalyst 11.10 Preview driver enables support for Eyefinity 5x1 display (portrait and landscape) configurationsĀ using the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series. The Vision Engine Control Center has also been updated with UI enhancements for the CrossfireX, GPU Overdrive, and Information Center pages.

They closed the Beta to MOH LE Owners yesterday afternoon. I found out first hand on chat. The wait for chat yesterday to EA was about 3 hours as everyone stormed the gates as it were for the early access.
That's your problem.
Huh?
Oh and elcentral, get off the computer and read or something, I don't usually care about grammar and spelling but your post is very hard to read and understand, which is sad since everything has spell checker you don't even need to know how to spell on a computer and you still fail.
Thats because most people have posted absolute poop dribble. Whats everyones problem? AMD optimised their drivers for what is going to be an insanely popular game. Why be negative about it?
Wow... felt like I was trippin' on drugs trying to understand that. Got grammar?
Anyway for those who are curious, got it and installed it on my Radeon HD 6870 machine. Saw a 5-7 fps increase with anti-aliasing active, almost 10 fps without it active. So nice little performance boost.
My roommate with an old GTX 400 series card saw almost 20fps boost. But knowing him he was probably running a driver that was 6-12 months old before installing the preview driver.
Really my beta account still works and I activated it using the code from EA because I had MOH LE.
