Asus announced a huge lineup of products that will be showcased during Computex this week. This lineup includes mobile devices, laptops, desktops and an assortment of Republic of Gamers products. The company is also showcasing mini PCs such as the Asus Chromebox CN62, the Asus VivoMini UN65H and UN45, and the Asus VivoPC VC65.
The new Chromebox CN62 consumes only 6 W of power when it's not in use. The device is also extremely quiet, with a 17 dB noise level when sitting idle. As for other features, the Chromebox supports Wireless AC networking, 4K video output and fifth generation Intel processors, making this a great addition to any living room or classroom (on paper).
Next on the list are the Asus VivoMini UN65H and the UN45 mini PCs. The UN65H includes an Intel Core processor, Intel Iris Pro graphics, Wireless AC connectivity and enough space to support both an M.2 SSD and a 2.5-inch hard drive. As for the UN45, it provides Wireless AC connectivity and sports a nifty fanless design for silent operation. Unfortunately, that's all the details we have for these two units so far.
Finally we have the Asus VivoPC VC65, the company's newest flagship mini PC. While the details are slim, Asus revealed that it will come packed with a sixth-generation Intel processor (cough, cough) and VESA mounting. There will also be enough room for customers to install two hard drives or two SSDs, which will support RAID technology. Asus suggested that this mini-PC would be great serving as a NAS or a digital media server.
