Facry v1.2 Patch Done

Next news
2:35 PM - July 21, 2004 by Lars Weinand

The new patch comes with a bunch of game optimizations but no word on Shader Model 3.0 support for NVIDIA GeForce 6800 cards.

Ubisoft released the long awaited patch v1.2 for the game Farcry. It comes with a lot of game play related fixes, adjustments and bug fixes. The release notes do not contain any information on Shader Model 3.0, which was enabled in a preview version of the patch (read more here: FarCry Patch v1.2 With Shader Model 3.0 ).

We don't know yet how different the final Farcry patch is from the version we tested two weeks ago and if SM 3.0 is implemented or not. Since Shader Model 3.0 is also not enabled in the just released NVIDIA Forceware v61.76 drivers, it seems like everybody is waiting for the official release of Microsofts DirectX 9.0c, which is available in the current Beta version of Windows XP Service Pack 2.

The patch and the release notes is available at the Ubisoft support website .
