SilverStone had many interesting products to show at Computex 2015. For starters, the company was showcasing its Platinum SFX-L form factor PSU with 700 W capacity, unit SX700-LPT. Recently, we reviewed the SX500-LG PSU from SilverStone and we were left quite satisfied by its performance, so we expect about the same from the new, bigger unit.
SilverStone was also showing a Platinum 750 W unit, the ST75F-PT, with very compact dimensions at only 14 cm in depth, along with a really small unit for its capacity, Platinum 1200 W PSU. At the company's booth, we also noticed an 800 W Strider (model number ST80F-TI) with Titanium efficiency. From what the SilverStone reps told us, the company will soon release a Titanium series including three power supplies with capacities ranging from 600 W to 800 W.
In addition, an affordable 550 W SFX unit will be added to the company's SFX series, featuring only native cables in order to restrict production costs and allow for a lower retail price. The SX550 will feature 80 PLUS Gold efficiency and a single +12V rail, which can deliver up to 45 A of current.
SilverStone has enrolled into digital PSUs as well and its offerings for this market segment will be the new Zeus units with 850 W, 1000 W and 1200 W capacities. These will be based on a High Power platform, we were informed.
The control and monitor software for the Zeus series was functional, and its interface looks simple and quite intuitive.
Another product that caught our attention was SilverStone's Raven portable DAC (digital-to-analog converter), which will be ideal for users with laptops who still need good sound on their headphones.
SilverStone's new Raven RVZ02 mini-ITX gaming chassis can accommodate a powerful VGA, and it is compatible with SFX and SFX-L PSUs. The max supported height for the CPU cooling solution is 58 mm with SilverStone suggesting their AR06 heat sink. This case has a great look and its relative compact dimensions make it ideal as a gaming console replacement next to a large TV.
In the cooling section, SilverStone introduced the Tundra Lite line including the TD02-Lite and TD03-Lite models. The Lite series has a primary focus of high performance per price ratio, promising low temperatures without breaking the bank. There is also the Tundra Slim line, which thanks to its thin radiators and fans is compatible with SFF and small chassis.
