A New Graphics Kid on the Block: XGI Volari

ATi calls its drivers Catalyst; NVIDIA chose the name Detonator, which has recently been replaced by the new ForceWare moniker. Following in the same vein, XGI has dubbed its drivers "Reactor."

The driver menus are very clear. In addition to the general 3D settings, the user also has access to options relating to color correction, gamma and screen resolution. An overclocking tool is also included. Multi-monitor functionality, hotkeys, virtual desktops and other settings can be accessed through a tray icon in the task bar. Hardware monitoring functions allow the user to check on the chip's temperature, voltage and the fan's speed.
