Advanced Overclocking Championship 2008
And They're Off!
After the starting gun, all the teams churned away with the famous SuperPI 8M for an hour and a half, combining various settings and frequencies. On all the machines, the processors were running in the neighborhood of 5.6 GHz.
Jmax_oc and Dami1stm showed their stuff by managing a very respectable third-place in the rankings on the benchmark with a time of 1’47"004. A remarkable result, because unlike SuperPI 1M and 32M, SuperPI 8M is far less used in Europe. At this early stage in the contest, the spread between the participants was minimal. The (Chinese) winners posted 1’43"078.
