An overview window gives quite a good view of the network traffic.
Don't be scared: by selecting profiles you can avoid configuring all these options manually.
A firewall profile is what will be suitable for most users.
A tray icon allows the firewall to be switched on or off instantly.
Using rules, applications can be given full access to the network.
The Anti-Hacking menu provides some basic security settings.
