Save $700 on Samsung's award-winning ultrawide Odyssey G9 gaming monitor — a QD-OLED panel and dual QHD resolution gives you two monitors in one
Two screens in one.
Grab one rather large and luxurious monitor for your gaming and work setup. Usually retailing at Amazon for an average list price of $1,283, Samsung's Odyssey OLED G9 (G93SC) is on sale for just $899, a huge cut in price from its original MSRP of $1,599. The price of this large monitor does fluctuate up and down regularly, so it's best to catch it when it hits its lowest prices - like today. According to the Amazon price checking website CamelCamelCamel, $898 is the lowest ever price seen for this monitor, but we have also seen this Samsung screen for $879 thanks to a coupon offer that doesn't seem to show on the tracking website.
Many people now use multiple monitor setups at their desks for either gaming or work, and this can require that you not only have a large desk to house all the screens, but also a variety of monitor arms to support them, freeing up desk space from all the monitor stands. Two monitors seem to be the sweet spot on a desk for both screen real estate and available space, but do consider the ultrawide screens that give you the equivalent of two monitors side by side, but with only one stand, or one monitor arm, and no bezels in the middle of your view.
What makes this monitor so special is not only its impressive size but also the QD-OLED panel with a 5120 x 1440 pixel resolution that gives you a sharp 110 PPI pixel density. With Samsung's QD-OLED screen, you're getting a superfast 0.03ms response time, deep blacks and contrast, and amazing eye-popping colors. A rapid 240Hz refresh rate gives you smoothness in your gaming, and its 1800R curve will wrap around your vision and provide greater immersion while gaming.
The Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SC is currently available at an exceptional price. Featuring a 49-inch curved (1800R) QD-OLED display, the G93SC is an exceptional gaming monitor equipped with a 5120 x 1440 pixel DualQHD resolution panel with features such as a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms (GtG) response time.
If the Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SC QD-OLED is slightly above your budget, or you're worried about switching to an OLED panel, and fancy sticking with Samsung's VA LCD technology, then their other 49-inch ultrawide QHD monitor is also on sale. The Samsung Odyssey G9 (G91F) is available for just $699, a $200 lower price than the OLED variant, but keeping many features of the above monitor, and only differing in panel technology performance.
Featuring a 49-inch curved (1800R) VA display, the G91F is a massive gaming monitor equipped with a 5120 x 1440 pixel DualQHD resolution panel and 144 Hz refresh rate. Play games and watch Twitch at the same time with the Samsung Picture by Picture mode.
We reviewed the OLED Odyssey G9 G93SC and awarded it an Editor's Choice badge for its fantastic performance and build quality. Apart from being an ideal monitor for gaming, the Odyssey G9 would also make a fantastic productivity companion. With 49 inches of display real estate, there's ample space for multiple applications on screen at the same time, allowing you to have multiple windows open all at once, making multitasking a breeze. Samsung also supports Picture by Picture (PBP) mode, treating the one screen like multiple monitors, but without any distracting bezels running through the middle. In our testing, the quick panel response and HDR sequential contrast of the Oddyssey G9 G93SC topped our testing charts against the competition at the time of testing.
