What induced the marketing people from Chaintech to release this board with the cryptic title 9CJS onto the market? Is it perhaps the initials of an employee? After opening the huge packaging, the wealth of contents becomes apparent: in addition to the actual motherboard, the manufacturer has enclosed a multimedia box (Type C, Box 3) with connections for card readers (Smart Media, Memory Stick and Compact Flash), USB 2.0, FireWire, microphone and headphones, as well as a Port 80 card.
In addition, there are panels in various colors (grey, silver and black) for optimally integrating the box into your existing PC housing. Purchasers of the board therefore save immense costs if these features are important to them. On top of this, round IDE and floppy cables and Serial-ATA connections complete with voltage adapter and an optical cable for digital audio, are also enclosed with the product.
The ATX panel with its colored lettering is noteworthy - no other test candidate offers this. The well-known manufacturers in the top-five group, on the other hand, feed the user cheap metal panels.
The two LAN connections (Gbit and 100 MBit) and four USB 2.0 ports are eye-catching features.
