Compared to the other boards from Gigabyte, the GA-81G1000Pro is a very reasonably-priced board in four-layer technology, so that the focus is primarily on the price-conscious user (students, for example).
The board has an onboard graphic function (Intel 865), and there is no need to invest in a graphic card. The functions include FireWire, dual BIOS and CSA Gigabit LAN. There is no ICH5 RAID and allowances have to be made in terms of performance: it achieved one of the lowest rankings. The whole thing is available at a cutthroat price of $139.

RAID controller for Serial-ATA.
Our assessment in brief: the GA-8IG1000Pro is available at a cutthroat price of $139, without dispensing with some features, such as onboard graphics, FireWire and dual BIOS. There are no RAID functions. The board is ideal for office users or OEMs.
